The "Piano Man" will perform his seventh concert at Syracuse's Carrier Dome Friday, March 20 at 8:00 p.m.

This is an age where artists struggle to stay relevant and the audiences’ attention can fade as fast as a breakout artists’  hit single drops on the Billboard charts.  But some artists that have been around since the '70s can still draw large crowds to venues like the Carrier Dome and Madison Square Garden.  Billy Joel is one of those artists.  What is the difference between him and today’s infamous 'one hit wonders?'

The "Holiday at Hendricks" concert filled the halls with the sound of music, from modern melodies to classical tunes.

Before the doors had even opened for Sunday night’s Hendricks Chapel Holiday Concert, a line of people had already formed outside in hopes of grabbing the best seat in the house. A half-hour to go, and every seat was filled. As more people continued filing into the packed chapel, many stood wherever there was room.

Joywave, Pierce Fulton and A$AP Ferg bring music and excitement to this year's installment of SU's year-end extravaganza.

Amid the frolicking hippies and laid-back hipsters, the highly anticipated party of the year hosted thousands of students and was a feel-good time for most - even if they can’t remember it.

Review: The first Bandersnatch Concert show of the semester rocked an energetic Syracuse University crowd ready for Spring Break.

If you closed your eyes Wednesday in the Schine Underground, you definitely felt like Spring Break had come early — somewhere between Coachella and a desert oasis.

Unfortunately, the carefree, billow-in-the-breeze feelings didn’t start until an hour of tirelessly waiting for sound check for the Bandersnatch concert series show to be completed.

The sold-out concert began with electronic duo ASTR, pronounced like the beginning of asteroid. The couple is comprised of New York natives Zoe Silverman on vocals and Adam Pallin on electronic percussion.

Review: EDM artists Cashmere Cat and Hudson Mohawke performed focused sets in the Schine Underground for the first show in University Union's Bandersnatch Series.

Once upstart beatsmith Hudson Mohawke settled in behind his production board — his MacBook perched nearby to his right — and started mixing monolithic basslines and glitch synthesizer beats, he never once stopped to exchange banter with the audience. He simply let his music do the talking.

Review: Hip-hop masters Macklemore & Ryan Lewis brought all the intimacy of a club show and all the theatrics of an arena concert to Syracuse on Monday.

Coursing with chatter, the people waiting to enter the Carrier Dome were wondering if the freshly famous rap duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis would be as captivating live as they were on their viral singles and kitschy thrift store music video.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are the Barnum & Bailey of hip-hop, and the Dome was their big top Monday night. They arrived with a caravan of musicians, oddballs and friends. And by the time their set was done, no one thought it ever was going to end.

Review: Chance the Rapper's performance in the Schine Underground as part of University Union's Bandersnatch Series lived up to the hype.

He said he was better than he was the last time. Hopefully, everyone was listening.

At 9:03 p.m. on Wednesday, Chance the Rapper stepped on stage. The room was dark, but his lanky 6-foot frame and unpicked afro were undeniably identifiable. When the lights rose and the beat dropped, the crowd went crazy.

Review: Mushroomhead played at The Lost Horizon on Friday with five opening bands for a long, loud night of metal.

Eight masked men squeezed onto The Lost Horizon’s cramped stage on Friday to deliver the climax to a night of metal.
