The trend continued Wednesday night, as freshman guard Tyler Ennis hit a game-winning, buzzer beating three-pointer after No. 25 Pittsburgh (20-5, 8-4 ACC) took the lead against No. 1 Syracuse (24-0, 11-0 ACC) with 4.4 seconds left in the game.
A 12-point first half performance helped No. 5 Syracuse decimate Cincinnati.
The Syracuse Orange women's lacrosse team used a well-balanced attack to handily defeat the Cincinnati Bearcats 21-6 Sunday afternoon at the Carrier Dome. Eighteen players recorded a point for the No. 5 Orange (9-3, 5-0), who remains undefeated in Big East play.
The Orange controlled the game throughout, but especially dominated in the first half, where they took a 12-1 lead into halftime.
“It was a solid team effort top to bottom,” head coach Gary Gait said. “We opened up the game playing hard.”

Going into tonight’s game, Hall was three points away from becoming the 23rd player in program history to score 1,000 career points. She did more than enough, scoring a game-high 23 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 2-of-3 from three point range and 7-of-8 from the free throw line. This game continued a great run for the accomplished senior, marking her fourth double-digit performance in a row.

In the Orange's second game in three days, No. 3 Syracuse came from behind to defeat Big East rival Cincinnati on Monday.
The Syracuse Orange took a bit of their own medicine Monday afternoon in yet another close one that was decided in the last minute of play.
No. 21/20 Cincinnati (16-4, 4-3 Big East) employed a zone defense of their own en route to a tension-filled afternoon that saw the No. 3/4 Orange (18-1, 6-0 Big East) down by two with a minute and a half to play. When the snow cleared, Syracuse scrapped away a 57-55 victory.
“I hate it when teams play zone [against us],” head coach Jim Boeheim said after the win.

On Senior Day, the No. 19 Syracuse University women’s lacrosse team improved to 7-7 (5-1 Big East) after its best performance of the season, a 20-3 rout of the Cincinnati Bearcats (2-13, 0-7) Saturday at the Carrier Dome.
The Orange’s relentless attack ignited with Katie Webster’s only goal of the match at the 27:24 mark, and never slowed down after that.
Syracuse shook off a slow start Tuesday then came back from 19 points down to beat Cincinnati, 55-53, to win the Orange's fourth straight game.
Syracuse carried a three-game winning streak into Cincinnati, but the game did not start out in SU’s favor. The Orange were able to respond though, as they turned a 19 point deficit into a two point win, beating the Bearcats, 55-53.
The Orange (20-6, 8-6) had one of their worst starts of the season, while Cincinnati jumped out to a 23-5 lead. The Bearcats were led by Shareese Ulis who made three early 3-pointers. Ulis was on fire from the start, and finished with a game-high 20 points. Kayla Cook and Jeanise Randolph also chipped in, with 13 and eight points, respectively.
Syracuse beat Seton Hall, Buffalo, and Cincinnati in dominating fashion this past weekend to improve their overall record to 7-1, including 3-0 in Big East Play.
The Syracuse women’s tennis team swept its competition this weekend, beating Seton Hall University, the University of Buffalo, and Cincinnati University on three consecutive days. With a combined score of 19-2 for the weekend, the Orange improved to 7-1 on the season and 3-0 in Big East Conference play.
Though none of these teams holds as impressive a record as Syracuse (UC 1-6, Seton Hall 1-5, Buffalo 2-2), all three teams fought extremely hard and made Syracuse work for every point, game, set, and match.
Syracuse used a couple big runs and some solid defense to stymie Cincinnati and hand the Bearcats their second loss of the season.
On paper, Saturday’s contest between the undefeated Syracuse Orange and the one-loss Cincinnati Bearcats looked like a battle of top Big East teams. However, the Orange used big runs at the start of both halves and the biggest college basketball crowd this season to run away from the Bearcats for an easy 67-52 win.
