The 'Broad City' and 'Eric André Show' star will headline University Union's first comedy show of the semester.

Comedian Hannibal Buress has been showing up in some of comedy’s biggest TV shows during the past few years, and his next stop is Syracuse University.

University Union announced “An Evening with Hannibal Buress,” a comedy performance scheduled for 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, at Goldstein Auditorium.

Justin Robinson was described as a "beautiful beautiful soul" and a "brilliant caring man" in comments on a GoFundMe page set up to help with his funeral costs.

Justin Robinson, a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, died unexpectedly on Sunday in his hometown of Palmetto, GA, according to a Syracuse University email news release.

This week marks the "It's on Us" campaign's National Week of Action. Vice President Joe Biden, alumnus of the College of Law's class of 1968 and advocate for the cause, will be visiting the SU campus Nov. 12 in honor of the National Week of Action.

SU campus placed on lockdown for two hours as police searched area near Oakwood Cemetery.

Two people were shot Wednesday night on Hope Avenue in Syracuse's South Side, leaving one dead and prompting a search for suspects in Oakwood Cemetery.

According to Syracuse.com, police officials said suspects fired shots at detectives pursuing them, and that suspects fled into the cemetery in Syracuse University's South Campus.

University Union announced through its Twitter and Facebook accounts that Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, the co-creators and co-stars stars of Comedy Central's 'Broad City,' will take the Goldstein Auditorium stage on Oct. 24. Tickets for the performance will go on sale Wednesday, Oct. 7, beginning at 11 a.m.

Charnice Milton, a 2011 graduate of SU, died after a gunman fired near her bus stop in Washington, D.C., Wednesday night. She reported on community news for Capital Community News and was on her way home from an assignment.

Fierce determination balanced with incredible kindness motivated Charnice Milton to give her community a voice through her words.

On May 27, a stray bullet ended her life and work. Milton, 27, died when a gunman shot near her bus stop in Washington, D.C.

It is the lowest increase of tuition for the university in 49 years.

The Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees approved the administration's financial proposals, including undergraduate tuition and room and board, according to the university.

The tuition for the 2015-2016 school year will be $41,794, which is a 3.5 percent increase from last year's tuition. The increase represents the smallest tuition increase for the university in 49 years.

Mary Karr, an award-winning poet and memoirist, will deliver the commencement address for the SU and SUNY-ESF commencement May 10.

University officials announced Friday that award-winning poet and memoirist Mary Karr will speak at the 2015 commencement ceremony on May 10.

Karr, the Jesse Truesdell Peck professor of Literature in the SU College of Arts and Sciences, will give the address at the joint SU and SUNY-ESF 161st ceremony in the Carrier Dome. She will also receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree.
