Frank Warren will talk about the popular postcard website Oct. 20 at Goldstein Auditorium.

University Union Performing Arts will host a speech and signing with Frank Warren, creator of PostSecret, at 8 p.m. on Oct. 20, in the Goldstein Auditorium in Schine Student Center

Since its launch in 2004, PostSecret has received over 400,000 decorated postcards from anonymous individuals stating their secrets. It was recently named Weblog on the Year in the Seventh Annual Weblog Awards, and has been featured on the Today Show, 20/20, CNN, MSNBC, CBC, NPR and FOX News.

During his visit to Syracuse University, Warren will discuss his experiences as the creator of the popular website and his feelings on the importance of having a medium to communicate secrets.

The 90-minture presentation, Frank Warren:The Most Trusted Stranger in America, will conclude with a book signing. Warren has published a number of books based on his PostSecret, including The New York Times bestseller PostSecret: Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives.

Tickets are $3 for students, $5 for faculty/staff and $7 for the general public. They go on sale Sept. 20 in the Schine Center Box Office.
