Dress: ModCloth, Jacket: Zara, Heels: Jeffrey Campbell, Flats: Sam Edelman, Earrings: Alexis Bittar, Rings: CatBird NYC, Bracelet: J. Crew
If you're one of the lucky ones this Valentine's Day and you have a someone special taking you out for a nice dinner or some other such classic Valentine's activity, you're going to need an outfit.
So where do you start? I always choose a base and go from there. For example, this pink lace dress with a peplum waist is a perfect way to stay pretty, classy and to go along with the whole pink and red theme. This dress is form-fitting without being too much so, and the peplum waist is very on-trend.
To keep warm in Siberacuse, I would pair this dress with some thick black tights to not only keep cozy but to add some visual contrast to the soft pink of the dress. An added benefit of black tights is they generally make your legs look longer and slimmer.
If you're not planning on walking too far or want to be a bit dressier, these heels from Jeffrey Campbell are the perfect addition. Not much of a high heel wearer? Try flats like these Sam Edelman's to keep comfy while still giving the outfit a glam factor.
To keep the whole outfit from getting too sugary and girly, pair it with a black leather blazer to add some more contrast and a tougher edge to your look.
Finish things off with minimal gold jewelry to compliment the pink dress. Dainty earrings and tiny first knuckle rings (the newest all-the-rage item) add shine without overdoing it. If you still need some extra sparkle add a glittery bracelet like this one from J. Crew.
Happy Valentine's Day!
