Press conference, negotiations with chancellor fill third day of sit-in at Crouse-Hinds Hall

Unsatisfied with their discussion with the chancellor, students continued to spend the night in the building lobby.

Students representing THE General Body began their sit-in at the Crouse-Hinds lobby on Monday afternoon, following a Diversity and Transparency Rally on the Quad. Organizers said they would remain until the Syracuse University administration committed to addressing their concerns, which are explained in a 43-page document posted to their website.

Negotiations with Chancellor Kent Syverud began around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the lobby. Members of THE General Body ultimately decided to continue the sit-in, noting on social media that they were unsatisified with the lack of resolutions in the negotiations.
