The Orange Card: Senior Day

The ninth episode of our soccer-centered podcast.

On this week's episode of The Orange Card, host Tyler Dudley spoke with Jared Bomba and Erin Fish about the final home games for Syracuse men and women soccer teams, the U.S. women's national team and international soccer.

Syracuse men's soccer snapped a four-game losing streak when they beat Ohio State 2-1 on Oct. 18. Goals from Johannes Pieles and Lukas Rubio provided crucial in the final non-conference game of the season.

Syracuse women's team lost to ranked Virginia and Duke in their final two home games of the season. Syracuse midfielder Georgia Allen scored to level the Virginia game at 1, but two second-half goals were enough for the Cavaliers. The Duke Blue Devils jumped out to a two-goal in the first thirty minutes, and Syracuse's three second-half shots couldn't get into the back of the net.

The United States women's national team defeated South Korea 3-1 and 6-0 in two home friendlies, and the MLS Playoff schedule is finalized after a dramatic final day of the season.

As always, The Orange Card discusses the top ten soccer stories from around the world. Finally, Jared and Erin discuss how being former student-athletes affected their lives.
