Orange backup quarterback arrested

Freshman charged after incident at Hollister Co. in Carousel Center

One of the Syracuse University back up quaterbacks was charged with petit larceny on Tuesday night, according to The Post-Standard.

Terrel Hunt, an 18-year-old native of Rosedale, NY (Queens), is accused of concealing a Hollister Co. "Breakline Fragrance" in a shopping bag and attempting to leave the store at the Carousel Center mall without paying. According to Syracuse Police Sgt. Tom Connellan, the fragrance was valued at $44 and Hunt was confronted while leaving the store. Hunt was then escorted to the security office where he was cooperative and released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Syracuse City Court.

Hunt has yet to appear in a game for the Orange. He was one of the backups to senior quaterback Ryan Nassib this past season. In 2010 Hunt was named to the New York Post and the New York Daily News All-City teams.
