Hillel Hosts Seder for Passover

First night of Passover fills Winnick Hillel.

On the first night of Passover two Seder dinners opened the holiday at the Winnick Hillel Center for Jewish Life.  With over 200 people on the first evening the dinner marked one of many that will take place.  The center will continue to celebrate the holiday throughout the week as well as provide services.  For freshman without transportation Hillel is offering rides to grocery stores to help students purchase Kosher foods.

Kosher meals will be offered daily from March 29th until the conclusion of Passover on April 6th.  Lunches cost $11.00 while dinner is $16.00.  For those students with little cash to spend, fear not.  The center accepts SU meal plans as long as you bring your student ID card along.  Lunch runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. while dinner is served betwee 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  The Winnick Hillel Center is located at 102 Walnut.

The center is also adding a unique event to its calendar by hosting a "Chocolate Passover Seder" on April 1st at 8 p.m. free of charge.  For more information visit www.suhillel.org
