University Union announced tonight that the Syracuse Univeresity Juice Jam Music Festival will be headlined by Diplo, and will also include music performed by Ugly God, MØ, Smallpools and Jeremy Zucker.
The festival will take place across two stages on Sept. 10 at Skytop Field, and doors will open at 12:15 pm. Tickets for the event will be $20 for SU/ESF students with a valid ID. Only two tickets can be purchased at any time. A valid SU, ESF, college or military ID must be presented at the gate in order to gain entry.
Diplo performed on the SU campus in 2011, and seemed to live up to the staggering hype that surrounded his performance. After performing, Diplo made the rounds at various after parties, in order to get the full SU experience.
Over the course of his career, Thomas Wesley Pentz, or Diplo, has won two Grammy Awards and has been nominated for six more. He's worked with Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Ellie Goulding, Madonna, and many others.
Although Diplo will headline, Juice Jam will also include performances from Ugly God, a rapper and producer from Houston, TX. Ugly God is best known for his 2016 single "Waters."
MØ, a Danish singer songwriter, earned her biggest hit with "Leon On," a collaboration with Major Lazer and DJ Snake that peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.
Smallpools is an American indie pop-rock band that formed in 2013, and was signed to RCA Records the same year. Their debut single "Dreaming" charted at number one on The Hype Machine's music charts.
The final artist performing at Juice Jam, Jeremy Zucker is a 21-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer who is about to make his major label debut, and has already an EP titled "Breathe."
