Comedian Kenan Thompson set to perform during Family Weekend

The longtime 'Saturday Night Live' cast member will do stand-up Sept. 25 at Goldstein Auditorium.

Saturday Night Live fans rejoice! University Union & the Syracuse University Parents Office will bring comedian Kenan Thompson to campus later this month for Family Weekend.

"An Evening with SNL's Kenan Thompson' will be in Goldstein Auditorium on Friday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. This will be University Union's first performing arts show of the semester.

Thompson, an Atlanta native, made his debut on the popular Nickelodeon sketch comedy series All That, leading to a spin-off show, Kenan & Kel, with his fellow All That co-star Kel Mitchell in 1996. He joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2003, his longest running show to date, now entering his 12th season with the cast.

Students can purchase tickets for $5 at the Schine Box Office this Friday starting at 9 a.m, with a valid SU or SUNY-Environmental Science and Forestry ID.

Tickets for family members will be available for $15 each purchased from the Parents Office, following the purchase of a student ticket.

Doors will open at 7:15 p.m. the night of the event.
