A town hall meeting to discuss Fast Forward Syracuse and related plans for Syracuse University’s future will take place Monday in Hendricks Chapel, according to an SU News release.
Chancellor Kent Syverud will lead the discussion beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 22. The chancellor will talk about the strategic direction and framework behind Fast Forward Syracuse, including plans to propel the university forward and foster academic and operational excellence, according to the release.
Fast Forward Syracuse is “a strategic, transformative, and collaborative initiative that will allow the University community to build on its widely recognized strengths and improve in key areas,” according to the initiative website. The site also states the goal of Fast Forward is to improve the university by embracing change and making the students the university’s primary focus.
Fast Forward Syracuse has three components: a strategic plan, a campus master plan and an operational excellence program, according to the website. The initiative launched in June and will incorporate the university community’s feedback in order to create a road map for future investments.
Monday’s event will also include a question and answer session. It is open to the public.
