Carter returns to the Orange

Media Day for the Syracuse Orangemen Football Team started with a jolt on Monday when Head Coach Doug Marrone announced that senior running back Delone Carter had been reinstated by the school. The news was a surprise to everyone including Coach Marrone as he found out only about an hour before the press conference started. 

“I recently just learned that Delone Carter will be reinstated back into school," Marrone said. “We expect him to be traveling tomorrow (Tuesday) and do not know exactly what time he will arrive, but as more information comes out we will get that to the media."

The return of Carter will give a boost to the offense, as he was the team’s leading rusher last season with 1,021 yards and 12 touchdowns. 

While Marrone has not decided if Carter will start in the opener against Akron, Carter will not face any more disciplinary actions.
