Actress Issa Rae to speak at Syracuse University on March 31

Tickets to see Rae, who created and stars in the HBO show “Insecure,” will go on sale on Monday at 9 a.m.

YouTube star Issa Rae is coming to Syracuse University at the end of the month, University Union announced Sunday night.

Rae will speak at Goldstein Auditorium on March 31 at 8 p.m., with E! News on-air correspondent Zuri Hall moderating the event. Tickets will go on sale on Monday at 9 a.m. at the Schine Box Office, and can also be bought online

The Los Angles-based actress got her acting start in her YouTube series “The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl,” which has garnered over 23 million views since she started it 2011. She created and stars in “Insecure,” an HBO show that focuses on the friendship of two black women in South Los Angeles as they head into their 30s. Her performance in "Insecure" led her to earn a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series.
