Hailey Clark

Hailey Clark is currently the redesign assistant for The Newshouse website publication. She is an arts journalism graduate student at Newhouse who aspires to become a travel writer, with a focus on beer.

Before graduate school, Hailey was testing printer software at Xerox Corporation in Webster, New York. While software jargon seems a mile away from arts journalism and especially beer, Hailey has gained technical skills that she hopes will transfer when learning about web journalism.

Hailey's undergraduate background consists of writing and art studio. She is published in three creative campus publications at SUNY Cortland: The Cortland Writer, Neovox, and SPEAK magazine.

Before graduating from SUNY Cortland, Hailey was a public relations and marketing intern at the Cortland Regional Medical Center in Cortland, New York. She wrote press releases about upcoming health events sponsored by the hospital to gain community support and attendance.

Hailey's goal while working for The Newshouse is to encourage students to use the publication as a resource to connect with the Syracuse community.
