For the fourth consecutive year, players and coaches have the opportunity to interact with soldiers during pre-season training.

FORT DRUM, N.Y. –- On Tuesday Syracuse football completed the second day of its Fort Drum visit and learned lessons that extend far beyond the football field. 

The Orange players and coaches got a small taste of the soldier’s life in an experience that has become a tradition for Syracuse football.

DURHAM, N.C. — In a game with 35 missed threes and 48 points in the paint, Syracuse (18-11, 7-9 ACC) felt the pressure of Cameron Indoor Stadium and crumbled under Duke (24-5, 12-4 ACC) 60-44.

No. 5 Syracuse (11-4) capped off the regular season with a dominating effort on Senior Day, beating Colgate 18-3.

The Orange was never down this game, scoring 5 goals before the Raiders could even score one. Syracuse out-shot Colgate 17-3 in the first quarter to set the tone for the rest of the match. They never looked back after that, finishing with a 46-23 total shots advantage. Perhaps Syracuse’s most impressive in-game run this season was on display today, as an extended 11-0 run spanning from the 2nd (11:05) to last period (10:30) re-assured total control.

What really happens when an athlete is forced away from the game they love?

Liam Callahan, Syracuse University men's soccer team captain, faced one of the greatest challenges of his life this year heading into the final season of his injury-riddled career.

Callahan transferred to SU after a rough freshman year at Villanova where he broke his leg and ankle playing. During his sophomore year, he and his teammates built a potent defense with an ACC-leading 12 shutouts.

The Syracuse football faithful got one last look at the new squad under head coach Dino Babers.

The Orange football team finished its spring season Saturday, April 2 with its annual spring scrimmage at the Carrier Dome. Head coach Dino Babers rolled out his fast-paced spread offense for the first time to the 4,037 fans in attendance. The Orange scored 13 touchdowns and ran more than 150 plays.

The Orange defense was too much for Army to handle as they defeated the Black Knights, 73-56.

The No. 4 seed Syracuse women's basketball team dominated its first round matchup in the NCAA Tournament. The Orange jumped out to an early lead on Friday thanks to its stifling defense. SU pressed Army right from the start and took the Black Knights out of their comfort zone. Syracuse forced 14 first half turnovers and, before it was all over, Army had turned the ball over 23 times.

The Orange buckled down in the closing minutes of each period in order to prevail against a relentless Army side to remain unbeaten.

Following their statement victory against Albany last weekend, Syracuse (3-0) started off this contest rather sloppy. After falling behind 1-3 in the 1st period, mainly because of the team’s four turnovers, attack Dylan Donahue scored a much needed goal with 25 seconds remaining to swing momentum back Cuse’s way.

The Syracuse women's ice hockey team finishes the regular season on a high note, winning both games this past weekend. The Orange heads into the playoffs riding a seven game win streak.

Melissa Piacentini assisted on SU’s third goal in Friday’s 6-1 win against the Lions, giving the senior a total of 58 assists in her career, surpassing Holly Carrie-Mattimore for the most helpers in program history.

SU Head Coach Dino Babers held a press conference on Wednesday to share his thoughts on his first National Signing Day as head coach of the Orange

Now that National Signing Day is in the books, Syracuse’s 2016 class stands at 20 signees. This doesn’t mean that Dino Babers and his staff are done searching for talent just yet. Babers said in his press conference on Wednesday they will continue to look at unsigned athletes and noted that SU will need all the able-bodied players it can get. He even joked about seeing what he could get out of the fraternities on campus.

The Orange faithful were in for a treat; coming off a close win this past Saturday against Georgia Tech, the “loud house” was packed for another ACC battle that came down to the wire. This time, it took overtime to decide the winner.
