Restaurant meals are SUper easy on campus

The Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center offers students the chance to use their SUpercard to pay for a sit-down meal.

The Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center is the only full-service restaurant on the Syracuse University campus. But students might not know their SUpercard money can pay for the meal.

John Maslak, manager of the Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center, said the experience is very different than at a dining hall. “Here, we have a menu," he said. "You pick what you want, you have a server, they come up, they get everything for you – drinks, food – they take your order. [When] you walk into the building, you’re greeted by a hostess."

The restaurant has specials throughout the week, such as Italian platters and Waldorf salad. It also includes special menu items for the campus program Meatless Monday.

Entrees range from $7 to $12, with appetizers ranging from $5 to $7.

The center seats anywhere from 80 to 150 guests per day, with Friday being the busiest day, Maslak said. It is located at 401 University Place, adjacent to E.S. Bird Library and Watson Residence Hall. The center is only open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
