The NewsHouse Staff's Halloween Drink Competition 2017

Three lead producers joined for a night of competition in a nail-biting contest for the best Halloween-themed drink. Be sure to check out the video to discover the winner, and use the recipes below to make the drinks yourself — if you're 21, of course. The NewsHouse staff would like to remind everyone to drink responsibly.

Taste Like Frickin' Fall

• Half glass of apple cider
• A splash of orange juice
• Two ice cubes
• Jameson Irish Whisky to taste

Black Widow

• Cover the bottom of a glass with frozen blackberries
• Pour in enough blackberry brandy to cover the blackberries
• Add enough ice to fill the rest of the glass
• Pour cranberry juice over the ice

Devil's Punch Bowl

Ingredients:

• 40 ml gold rum
• 20 ml Malibu
• 20 ml grenadine
• 150 ml pineapple juice
• 150 ml orange juice

Instructions:  

• 1. Add all the liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
• 2. Half fill a bowl shaped glass with ice.
• 3. Strain the drink into glass.
• 4. Decorate with creepy crawly sweets.
