Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and New York Times columnist for nearly a decade, Nicholas Kristof is a well-recognized international journalist known for his expertise in the plights of minorities and women. Kristof earned his first Pulitzer Prize along with his wife, Sheryl WuDunn, for their 1990 coverage of China’s Tiananmen Square democracy movement. His second Pulitzer Prize came in 2006 for his commentary on the genocide in Darfur. Also, Kristof and WuDunn are authors of China Wakes: The Struggle for the Soul of a Rising Power, Thunder from the East: Portrait of a Rising Asia, and Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide.
