If you are looking for authentic Thai food, a plate of decent sushi, or a place that promises a memorable and exquisite family outing, check out Lemon Grass. The American-Thai restaurant located in Armory Square offers all of the above.

When to Go: Lunchtime at Lemon Grass is 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. Dinner is from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, 5 p.m. to 10:30 on Friday and Saturdays, and 4:30 to 9 p.m. on Sundays. The bottom line: Reservations recommended, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

On Tap: Yes beer is available, but Lemon Grass takes its pride from the ten-page award-winning wine list. The bottom line: Wines range from $30 to $600. But if you are lucky enough, you can have your favorite wine for half the price in the Last Bottle Sale.

Blue Plate Special: Lemon Grass offers an ever-changing list of daily and seasonal specials. The bottom line: Go find out yourself and be surprised.

The Scene: Dark-blue walls, white linens, and red accents against the large windows all add to the hushed and elegant atmosphere of the place. Statues of Buddha lying and kneeling down give customers a calm and peaceful moment while leaving a day’s work outside the room. The bottom line: This is the place where you show your manners.

Crew: The servers are attentive and knowledgeable. If you are confused by the unfamiliar names on the menu, feel free to ask for help. Bottom Line: The service adds to the classy atmosphere.

The Crowd: Professionals and families are the main customers, but students are also welcome.The bottom line: Enjoy the feeling of being grown-up.

The Deets: Known as one of the best restaurants in Central New York region and the winner of a bunch of prizes, Lemon Grass offers a pleasant and classy dining experience. Any main dish on the menu costs over $20, so it’s a little out of college student’s affordability, probably not the place for you to hang out with friends daily. But for special occasions, this is definitely the place you want to go.
