Who: La Familia de la Salsa began in 2004 as a Salsa/Rueda demo team. It has now grown to one of the largest Latin dance organizations in Upstate New York.
What: La Familia offers classes Monday-Friday at different locations throughout the Syracuse area. Lessons are $60 for a six week series or $50 dollars for full-time students with school ID. Private lessons are available by appointment.
When: Classes are held mainly at night so people can go there after class or after work. Typically their classes are held between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Where: Classes are held at different locations. Some are held at Johnston's Ballybay Bar, Pine Grove Country Club and the Pioneer Health Club. Check their web site [9] to see where classes are held for specific sessions.
Plus: La Familia de Salsa wants you to get comfortable and really enjoy salsa dancing. You DO NOT need a partner (or experience) but just your dancing shoes and a good attitude. La Familia also has social events on the weekends for people to practice their dancing and meet new friends.
