Mar. 4-19
Noel Coward’s Tonight at 8:30 at Appleseed Productions [12]
Noel Coward wrote 10 one act plays under the umbrella title Tonight at 8:30. Appleseed Production presents three of them: Ways and Means [13] (or how to illegally cancel your debt), Red Peppers [14] (a husband and wife argue on a boat) and Hands Across the Sea [15](a house party spins out of control). The same cast performs in all three of them, it’s like theatrical musical chairs!
Mar. 11-26
Terrence McNally’s Corpus Christi at Rarely Done Productions [16]
What if Jesus and the Apostles were gay men living in Texas? Terrence McNally’s play answers that question, while exploring the heavy notion of homosexuality in Christianity.
Mar. 16
Lord of the Dance at the Famous Artists Broadway Theater Series [17]
See the Lord of the Dance fight to save Planet Ireland. With Irish music! And lightning-fast footwork! Warning: you may want a Guinness afterwards.
Mar 23-Apr. 23
William Gibson’s “The Miracle Worker” at Syracuse Stage [18]
Helen Keller was blind and deaf before she was one-years-old. This is the story of how she was able to see, not literally, but through words, via a diligent teacher: Anne Sulliven. It’s like you’re in the 4th grade history class all over again.
Mar. 25-Apr. 2
Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple at Not Another Theater Company [19]
It’s impossible to be a theater lover and not heard of The Odd Couple, that story about a pair of mismatched roommates that spawned a film and television show [20]. It’ll be funny, to say the least.
