Satan's Closet improv group entertains at monthly show

Musician Rachel Lynn and the Satan's Closet improv group entertain a full house in downtown Syracuse.

The audience cheered as Ken Keech and his improv group, Satan's Closet, came out onto the stage Friday night. At the end of every month, Keech and other performers collaborate with the Syracuse Improv Collective to put on a show for Central New York comedy fans.

"[I'm] always expecting a good show, always looking forward to getting together with my friends and being joyful on stage," Keech, an adviser at a local alternative high school, said. "It's a great time."

Aside from Satan's Closet, local singer-songwriter Rachel Lynn performed and a sketch comedy group, Canary in a Coal Mine, traveled from Rochester to perform.

Keech said the only thing he worries about is the audience. He said the Syracuse Improv Collective brings in artists like Rachel Lynn in an effort to bring in more people.

That strategy seemed to work on Friday, as not many seats were empty.

This month's Syracuse Improv Collective's March Bank show, "Death March of the Penguins," is Friday, March 30, at 7 p.m.
