This was the women's soccer team's first loss at home this season.

The Syracuse women’s soccer team was defeated by Colgate, 0-1, after an aggressive match at SU Soccer Stadium on Thursday night.<

Starting the match were seven underclassmen for Syracuse and four talented seniors. The girls came out playing strong, but not strong enough next to Colgate according to Head Coach Phil Wheddon.

Syracuse women's soccer dominated both Cornell and Fairfield in two games, winning 3-0. Kate Donovan scored a brace and Taylor Bennett slotted one home from the penalty spot against the Big Red.

In Sunday afternoon's match, Donovan, Carolin Bader and Sydney Brackett scored against Fairfield in a game Syracuse recorded 12 shots.

Three Syracuse players scored to win their fourth match of the season.

Syracuse women’s soccer team dominated Fairfield in a 3-0 win on a wet Sunday afternoon at SU Soccer Stadium. This was the second game in a row that the Orange won by such a scoreline as the team improved to 4-1-1 on the season

Within three minutes, Syracuse grabbed control of the game when freshman forward Kate Donavan curled a strike over the Stag goalkeeper Megan Defeo. The goal marked Donavan’s third goal in two games.

This new podcast will focus on SU men's and women's teams and what to expect as their seasons start.

Four years ago, few students attended the men’s and women’s soccer games. The seats were packed with families, youth soccer teams and visiting fans. But then a change happened and students started to show up to “Pack the Hill”.

Since then, men’s soccer has sent every team to the NCAA Tournament, won the ACC Tournament and reached the College Cup in 2015. The women’s team have improved every season, most recently producing their first .500 record since 2012.

Weber's two goals hand Syracuse first loss of season.

Despite entering halftime locked in a scoreless tie, Syracuse ultimately couldn't match a relentless Penn State attack Sunday afternoon.

Mallory Weber scored a pair of goals early in the second half to lead the No. 24/9 Nittany Lions (2-0-0) to a relatively easy 2-0 victory over SU in the final contest of the Penn State Invitational.

Syracuse (0-1-1) has now been shut out in each of its first two matches this season.
