After not being selected in this years draft, three more Syracuse players signed with NFL teams as undrafted free agents.

As the NFL draft came to a close this weekend, many colleges players were left undrafted, including SU players Alec Lemon, Deon Goggins, Zach Chibane and Marcus Sales. But even though these players didn't hear their name called or receive of phone call from an NFL team, a few of them signed this weekend as undrafted free agents.

While it was speculated that Ryan Nassib would get drafted in first round, it was Justin Pugh who hear his name called on day one, while Nassib and Shamarko Thomas waited until the fourth round.

Ryan Nassib, Justin Pugh and Shamarko Thomas finally had their NFL aspirations fulfilled during the 2013 NFL Draft. The three catalysts that propelled the Syracuse Orange to an 8-5 season have landed with two of the more successful franchises in the league today.

Syracuse head football coach Doug Marrone decided to become the head coach of the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN.com and NFL.com

Doug Marrone is heading back to the NFL.

After interviewing with the Buffalo Bills Friday night, Syracuse University head football coach Doug Marrone decided to take the job left vacant by Chan Gailey and coach the Bills for 2013-2014 season, according to ESPN.com and NFL.com. 

There has been no word from Marrone yet, nor has any contract been signed.

Offensive lineman Justin Pugh decided Thursday to forgo his last year at Syracuse University and declare for the NFL draft in April.

Syracuse University football lost another key offensive player Thursday, as standout offensive lineman Justin Pugh declared via his Twitter account that he has decided to declare for the 2013 NFL draft with one year of eligibility left.

Heading into his fourth season, Head Coach Doug Marrone maintains that playing time will be earned throughout camp.

Syracuse University football’s media day cleared up any concerns that were left to the imagination before players and coaches reported to training camp Saturday morning.

Head coach Doug Marrone, his staff and the players stressed one point above all as the season kicked into gear with the annual media day.

“The depth chart is a starting point. After that first snap, it’s competition, and our players know that,” Marrone said....
