Article claims that 10 Syracuse basketball players have tested positive for banned recreational substances since 2001

On Saturday afternoon the No. 2 ranked Syracuse basketball team hoisted the Big East regular season championship trophy on the court in the Carrier Dome. On Monday afternoon Yahoo! Sports published a story that claims the school has failed to comply with its internal drug policy and has played ineligible players.

Syracuse University seniors Scoop Jardine and Kris Joseph end Carrier Dome careers with a win over Louisville on Senior Day.

For the last time in their esteemed Syracuse careers, Kris Joseph and Scoop Jardine donned their home white uniforms in front of a loud Carrier Dome crowd. The result was a pretty one for the SU faithful. Behind a strong defensive effort that limited Louisville to 34 percent shooting from the floor, the Orange beat the Cardinals, 58-49.

A State Supreme Court judge ruled Wednesday that Bobby Davis and Mike Lang's defamation suit against Jim Boeheim and Syracuse University will be held in Onondaga County.

Brian DeJoseph, Onondaga County State Supreme Court judge, ruled that the Bobby Davis and Mike Lang's defamation suit against Jim Boeheim and Syracuse University will have to be held in Onondaga County.

 

In his ruling, he stated the attorneys for Davis and Lang failed to prove that an unbiased jury could not be found in Onondaga County.

A decision is pending over the location of Bobby Davis and Mike Lang's defamation suit against Jim Boeheim and Syracuse University.

New York State Supreme Court Justice, Brian DeJoseph heard arguments Tuesday morning regarding the defamation suit against Jim Boeheim and Syracuse University, according to an article posted Feb. 21 in the Post-Standard.

Senior Scoop Jardine and sophomore C.J. Fair helped lead the No. 2 Orange past the Scarlet Knights on the road.

Syracuse (27-1, 14-1 Big East) continued its tear through the Big East with a hard-fought 74-64 victory over Rutgers (12-15, 4-10) on Sunday at the RAC. Senior point guard Scoop Jardine led the way for the Orange with 17 points and seven assists. The game was close throughout until Jardine nailed a 3-pointer with 72 seconds left to increase the lead to seven. Sophomore forward C.J.

Orange drops the Cardinals for the first time in the past eight meetings

It was close, a little too close.

It was a back and forth battle between No. 2 Syracuse (26-1, 13-1) and No. 18 Louisville (20-6, 8-4), but the Orange used a 6-0 run in the final minutes to pull off the 52-51 victory over the Cardinals at the KFC Yum! Center. The win snaps a seven-game losing streak for the Orange against the Cardinals, and gives them a two-game lead over Marquette in the Big East.

For the second straight year the Orange basketball team has started its season with sixteen straight victories.

Six SU players scored in double-figures as the No. 1 Syracuse (16-0, 3-0) pulled away in the second half to defeat Providence (11-5, 0-3) by a score of 87-73 Wednesday night at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.  It was the seventh straight game the Orange won by a double-digit margin, also marking SU’s sixteenth straight victory and third straight against Big East opponents.

Jim Boeheim and Syracuse University have been sued for defamation in the New York Supreme Court regarding their treatment of allegations by Bobby Davis and Mike Lang against former associate head coach Bernie Fine.

Gloria Allred, a longtime civil rights attorney, announced Tuesday that she has filed a defamation suit against Syracuse University and men's basketball head coach Jim Boeheim on behalf of former ball boys Bobby Davis and his step-brother Mike Lang in New York State Supreme Court.
