Whether you’re training for a long-distance race or just heading out for a quick jog, plenty of enjoyable running routes surround the Syracuse University campus.

Try out these three runs to explore the university and its surrounding neighborhoods. And remember to exercise safely—bring your phone, tell a friend where you’re going and never explore unfamiliar routes in the dark. Happy running!

A Jamesville fifth grader with a rare genetic skin disorder fights her pain with positivity and strength.

Molly Gibbons is not your ordinary fifth grader. She is intuitive, sarcastic, and if she thinks you are worth it, she will let you into her life.

The 11-year-old Jamesville girl has a personality bigger than her body will allow, a demeanor fit for someone 30 years her senior, and she's got the world eating out of the palm of her hand.

Molly has no fear; she has no time for it.

"She fights through the pain," Molly's mom, Tracie, said. "When everything else could be going so bad, she's the one laughing and smiling and loving life. It's really amazing."

One day out of the year, we get together with people we love, share a meal and give thanks. But as students, not all of us can go home to our families for Thanksgiving. I set out on a mission: to find local restaurants open on Thanksgiving with great meals under $25. The catch? Each restaurant must have a fireplace, just like home. Home might not always be where your family is, but the hearth may just remind you of where you’re from.
