The iSchool hosts its third Global Game Jam, fostering creativity and innovative game design.

It was 5 p.m. EST on Friday evening meaning that Europe and Asia had already begun, the West Coast and Hawaii had a few more hours of anticipation, and the Syracuse section of the Global Game Jam was about to start.

Students, professionals and social media junkies gathered in the Schine Underground on Thursday to listen, learn and network with one another about the power of social media at Syracuse University's first #140cuse conference.

More than 70 students, from across nearly every SU school, gathered at the iSchool for the second annual MLB.com College Challenge.

It was 9 p.m. when sophomore Max Greenberg gathered with the rest of his group, Team Winston, in one of the computer labs in the School of Information Studies’ (iSchool) basement.

Greenberg, who studies information management and technology, thought the problem his challenge group needed to solve was what to do about the slow nature of a baseball game.

The Windows Project features installations designed and created by artists in the SU community.

Students entering Hinds Hall now will notice a colorful change inside the classrooms and along the main hallway.  Wednesday, the iSchool unveiled eight new commissioned artworks as part of the Window’s Project, created by members of the Syracuse University community after months of preparation.
