After losing to Wake Forest in last season's ACC Championship, Syracuse came to the field Saturday afternoon with only one thing on mind: Victory.

“Bad blood” was the theme of Saturday's field hockey match between No. 1 Syracuse and No. 6 Wake Forest. It was the first time the teams faced off since Wake Forest defeated Syracuse last year in the ACC Championship. Syracuse came to the field with a mission: to dominate and defeat Wake Forest. Revenge was sweet for the juiced up Orange when they beat Wake Forest 6-0.

Five different scorers got on board for the team.

In its home debut, the 5th ranked Syracuse Orange extended its shutout streak to four with a commanding five-nil victory over Bucknell. The Orange outshot the Bison 18 to zero and didn’t surrender a single corner in the game.

In control from start to finish, head coach Ange Bradley is encouraged by the early form of her team.

“I’m enjoying the process of the connections and the passing and the five different people scoring.” Bradley said.
