It’s midterm time for students here in Syracuse, New York, and everyone’s stress levels are inevitably higher than necessary.

“What’s the best way to relax and jump-start the flow of those creative juices?” one may ask. Well obviously the right answer is … a concert on a Wednesday night!

Review: Familiarize yourself with that EDM group that relies more on instruments than their laptops.

Westcott Theater was filled with pounding bass, strobe lights, and three ebullient Canadian performers that entertained the crowd with an eclectic mix of hip-hop and instrumentals. Keys N Krates rewarded the small venue with their greatest hits and newest releases from their upcoming album Cura, which dropped Janaury 26 — two days after they started their 2018 North American tour. The tour began in Buffalo, New York, and will finish in their hometown of Toronto, Canada.

Review: EDM DJs Hotel Garuda opened and Sam Feldt finished what was truly a memorable sold-out Bandersnatch concert.

Virtually every song Sam Feldt played during University Union’s first Bandersnatch concert of the year was met with dancing from the college kids that came to see the 23-year-old perform.

An aura of happiness followed the young DJ, who headlined the concert Wednesday night. Feldt performed for well over an hour, periodically slowing down the current song he was mixing to thank the audience. His presence and masterful mixing impressed everyone in the room.

“I think I’m inspired by everyday life,” Christmas, the 21-year-old rapper from Boston, Massachusetts, said before performing at Skybarn along with rising electronic music maestro Sweater Beats on April 2.

Pairing the EDM artist and rapper provided plenty of audio ammunition Friday at the annual year-end concert.

After a morning of eating, drinking and celebrating the end of the school semester at MayFest, Syracuse University students headed to the Carrier Dome for a night with 2 Chainz and Zedd that surely did not disappoint.

Review: EDM artists Cashmere Cat and Hudson Mohawke performed focused sets in the Schine Underground for the first show in University Union's Bandersnatch Series.

Once upstart beatsmith Hudson Mohawke settled in behind his production board — his MacBook perched nearby to his right — and started mixing monolithic basslines and glitch synthesizer beats, he never once stopped to exchange banter with the audience. He simply let his music do the talking.
