The Orange scored at least four goals in each quarter and won by a final score of 18-5 in the Carrier Dome.

It took less than two minutes for the Syracuse Orange (1-0) to score its first goal of the season, and it came from none other than redshirt senior attack Dylan Donahue, who had four goals and a career-high five assists in the tilt, totaling nine points.

Current SU players and former stars face-off in three quarter exhibition

Recent alumni of Syracuse men’s lacrosse revealed that the 2017 team still has a thing or two to learn before the spring.

Former SU stars Dylan Donahue, Derek DeJoe, JoJo Marasco and Matt Abbott returned to the Carrier Dome on Saturday for the annual exhibition game and the Alumni All-Stars defeated the varsity squad 8-4 in three quarters of play.

Syracuse lacrosse celebrated its 100th anniversary on Saturday, but couldn't provide much reason for excitement during the game.

For the first time since 2007, the Syracuse University Men’s Lacrosse team has lost three straight games. This 17-7 loss was their worst since March 23, 2014, when they lost 21-7 to No. 3 Duke.

The Orange buckled down in the closing minutes of each period in order to prevail against a relentless Army side to remain unbeaten.

Following their statement victory against Albany last weekend, Syracuse (3-0) started off this contest rather sloppy. After falling behind 1-3 in the 1st period, mainly because of the team’s four turnovers, attack Dylan Donahue scored a much needed goal with 25 seconds remaining to swing momentum back Cuse’s way.

The Orange overcomes sluggish offensive start to romp over rival Hobart.

Led by an offensive explosion in the second period, Syracuse cruised to victory over Hobart on senior night Tuesday evening at the Carrier Dome.

After managing to score only one goal over the first nine minutes of the contest, the No. 4 Orange (9-2, 2-2 ACC) kept the goals coming against the Statesmen (7-4, 4-0 NEC) en route to an 18-5 win.

A three-goal spurt at the end of the first quarter carried through the rest of the half. By the break, the score was 12-0 Orange and Hobart’s realistic chances of winning had vanished.

With the University of Denver's loss, Syracuse takes over the No. 1 ranking this week.

In a matchup of two top-five teams, No. 2 Syracuse dominated No. 5 Virginia in the first half, building a 8-1 lead that would never be in danger.

The Orange was able to cruise to an easy 15-9 victory at the Carrier Dome on Sunday behind attackman Kevin Rice’s seven points and hat tricks from Dylan Donahue and Nicky Galasso

When SU opens against Siena on Feb. 7, a pair of new faces from the JUCO powerhouse will be aiding the team in its quest for another championship.

The No. 4 Syracuse men’s lacrosse team will add two players who dominated the junior college ranks to its team this year.

Midfielder Tim Barber and goalkeeper Warren Hill are just the latest to join a long list of players who have transferred from Onondaga Community College to play for the Orange.

Dylan Donahue's goal with 13 seconds remaining lifted the Orange past Yale and into its 27th NCAA Tournament semifinal.

After finishing the season with eight straight one-goal games, the Syracuse men's lacrosse team entered Saturday's contest against Ivy League tournament champion Yale confident in its ability to win close.

That experience paid off, and it landed the Orange in familiar territory.

The national semifinals.

SU capitalized on its few offensive possessions to roll past tournament newcomer Bryant at the Carrier Dome.

Chris Daddio knew his offense wasn’t going to have many chances to put the ball in the back of the net during the Orange’s first-round NCAA Tournament game against Bryant.

Facing the nation’s top faceoff specialist in the Bulldogs’ Kevin Massa can do that.

April 16, 2013 - 11:16pm
Hobart attackman Alex Love and goalkeeper Peter Zonino snap No. 5 Syracuse's four-game win streak.

Alex Love was directly responsible for more than 50 percent of Hobart’s goals Tuesday night against the Syracuse men’s lacrosse team.

None were bigger than his last.

Love tallied six goals and an assist on eight shots on goal — including the game-winning score — to help the Statesmen (6-6) stun the No. 5 Orange (9-3), 13-12. With the win, Hobart took the Kraus-Simmons Trophy, representation of the third-longest rivalry in Division I men’s lacrosse, west on I-90 for the first time since 2006.
