Review: Jason Isbell and Josh Ritter put on a heartfelt show at the Landmark Theatre Thursday night, treating fans to excellent musicianship and performing.

The word of the night at the Josh Ritter and Jason Isbell concert was “sincerity.”

Country music, coming from today’s “bro” artists, can come off as preachy and hollow. Either you’re being subjected to a three-minute long ode to a truck or the objectification of women disguised as a love song.

Not so with Ritter and Isbell. The two put on a heartfelt show at the Landmark Theatre Thursday night and treated fans to excellent musicianship and performing.

Review: Country singers Lee Brice and Chris Young kicked off their co-headlining tour in Syracuse, giving fans a night to remember, if the beer allowed.

A sea of plaid, camo and baseball caps filled the Oncenter War Memorial Arena and the beer was plentiful, but one thing noticeably missing from Lee Brice and Chris Young's first show on their co-headlining One Night Live Tour was a highly anticipated performance together.

As the horse racing season at the nation's oldest track comes to a close, here's how to get in on the last of the action.

Horse races have been run on Union Avenue in Saratoga County for 145 years. It is "the August place to be."  New Yorkers love gambling and love their equines.

Walk through the front gates, take in the air of royalty (it is the sport of kings).  The scent of thoroughbred is pungent, the anticipation of money is liberating.
