No. 5 Syracuse (11-4) capped off the regular season with a dominating effort on Senior Day, beating Colgate 18-3.
The Orange was never down this game, scoring 5 goals before the Raiders could even score one. Syracuse out-shot Colgate 17-3 in the first quarter to set the tone for the rest of the match. They never looked back after that, finishing with a 46-23 total shots advantage. Perhaps Syracuse’s most impressive in-game run this season was on display today, as an extended 11-0 run spanning from the 2nd (11:05) to last period (10:30) re-assured total control.

Mother Nature made sure the Syracuse University men's soccer team didn't have a chance to build on its breakthrough victory over Virginia this past weekend.
The Orange's Tuesday night match against Colgate was cancelled due to lightning in the area around SU Soccer Stadium. No makeup date has been scheduled.
SU (8-1-0, 2-1-0 Atlantic Coast) will return to action on Saturday, as it travels to Blacksburg, Va., to face Virginia Tech at 7 p.m.

Syracuse came into Thursday’s showdown with Colgate riding a three-game winning streak, but had the wind taken out of its sails early against Colgate.
Emily Crichlow's goal from 22 yards out in the third minute put the Orange in an early hole, and it was unable to recover as Colgate held on for a 1-0 victory in Hamilton, New York.

Senior first basemen Kelly Saco hit a walk-off single to lead Syracuse to its second victory in as many days at the Carrier Dome on Saturday. The No. 24 Orange (19-8) defeated Canisius (4-18) 6-5. The weekend marked the first time ever softball was played in the Carrier Dome and the Orange extended its current winning streak to nine games. On Friday the team defeated Colgate 6-0.

Home plate was near the 50-yard line, field goal posts were used as foul poles, and bases were mounted into the turf of Ernie Davis Legends Field for the first ever softball game in the Carrier Dome on Friday night.
"It was so much fun, great energy in here," head coach Leigh Ross said. "The girls were extra excited to have so many fans here."
SU takes to the field for its second straight home game Saturday against Colgate.
During a broadcast last weekend, Syracuse alum and ESPN broadcaster Sean McDonough shared something that should be music to the ears of Syracuse football fans. While talking to Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian, McDonough said that the offensive guru was impressed with the Orange after their visit to out west. Sarkisian said SU should be playing in a bowl game this year.
QB Ryan Nassib's record-setting TD performance leads the home-opening win over Maine.
Ryan Nassib threw a team record five touchdown passes and Syracuse shook off a slow start to rout Maine in their home opener Saturday, 38-14.
“It feels pretty good, especially with all the great quarterbacks that have come through here,” Nassib said about setting the school record for touchdown passes in a game.
