Defeating Clemson marked SU’s first ranked win of the season.

The Syracuse University Orange (19-12, 8-10 ACC) held its own late in the final game of the regular season, defeating number 18 ranked Clemson 55-52.

Oshae Brissett and Tyus Battle each scored 17 points in a win that the NCAA tournament could use to their advantage for a possible berth.

"We were due for one of these. We play with so much heart, we're always in every game," Battle said.

Syracuse didn't score a field goal in the fourth quarter.

A second-half shooting slump prevented Syracuse from winning its opening ACC tournament game versus Virginia Tech, as the Hokies won 85-70.

In a repeat from Feb. 1 when the Hokies defeated the Orange in the Carrier Dome, both teams were looking to win an opening game and help their potential chance to reach the NCAA tournament. If the Orange were going to win the game, they'd need to hit shots from beyond the arc.

64 of Syracuse's 70 points were scored by three players.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.--A lack of offensive distribution hurt the Syracuse men’s basketball team in its hunt for the NCAA Tournament with an 85-70 loss versus Boston College.

The Orange (18-12, 7-10 ACC) needed to reveal its offense, which went missing in its previous game versus Duke University. With an opponent like Boston College (17-13, 7-10 ACC) they had the opportunity to do just that.

The Orange were limited to 44 points in 40 minutes.

DURHAM, N.C. — In a game with 35 missed threes and 48 points in the paint, Syracuse (18-11, 7-9 ACC) felt the pressure of Cameron Indoor Stadium and crumbled under Duke (24-5, 12-4 ACC) 60-44.

The team is averaging just less than 20 goals this season.

The fourth-ranked Syracuse Orange added an exclamation point win to its season as they cruised passed Albany 19-12. The ladies are 3-0 and have scored a total of 59-goals.

After a successful West Coast road trip defeating Oregon 17-11, the Orange got right back to work. Heading into Thursday’s game, Syracuse moved up three spots to number four in this weeks IWLCA poll.

Emily Hawryschuk led all scorers with an outstanding five-point performance. The attackman tallied four goals while picking up an assist.

Syracuse tied the game with three minutes remaining, however couldn't grab the lead against the defending national champions.

An opportunity to secure a big Top-10 win at home versus North Carolina (22-7, 11-5 ACC) slipped away from the Syracuse Orange (18-10, 7-8 ACC), losing 78-74 on Wednesday.

In front of 27,165 fans in orange and blue, Syracuse tried multiple times to come back in the game and grab a late lead against a Tar Heels team entering the game on five-straight wins.

Syracuse's Oshae Brissett tied a career-high with 25 points in loss.

In a game with 42 combined fouls and 34 turnovers, this was not a pretty affair by any means.
Syracuse (17-9, 6-7 ACC) held NC State (17-9, 7-6 ACC) in check from deep early on. After halting the Wolfpack following a 10-0 run at the end of the first half, it seemed to be anyone’s game.

Syracuse failed to control the pace of the game and NC State ended up shooting 54 percent from 3-point range in the second half. Coming down the stretch, the Orange could not come up with a stop and with 35 seconds remaining, NC State's Markell Johnson’s three iced the game.

The Orange scored 13 unanswered to open the 2018 season.

Binghamton was expected to be a tough challenge for Syracuse in the Orange’s season opener.

Early on, it was clear that wasn’t going to be the case.

The Orange just kept scoring and scoring and would go into the 2nd quarter up 8-0. The Bearcats didn’t find the back of the net until three minutes left in the first half when Syracuse was already up 13-0. The Orange would go onto win the game 21-4.

“Well I think it was a terrific start to our 2018 season," head coach John Desko said after the game.
