House-electro DJ Steve Aoki will perform on Sunday, April 22 at The Westcott Theater. Show openers include Chemicals of Creation, and Syracuse's own Direktor and DJ Mike Smiroldo.
Founder of his own music label Dim Mak Records, Aoki began releasing electro house music by Felix Cartal, MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots and Mustard Pimp before producing his own remixes of Kanye West, Peaches, Eminem, All American Rejects, Kid Cudi and Drake, to name a few. Dim Mak Records has released over 250 records in total.
A fashion executive on the side, Aoki has developed lines for KR3W Apparel, Supra Footwear, headphones for WESC, headwear with NEFF and bags with Burton.
Aoki is a board member for the nonprofit Music Is Revolution foundation, which provides support for music education in public schools.
The Sunday show is sold out. Doors open at 9 p.m.
