University Union Performing Arts will host “An Evening with Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson” on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the Goldstein Auditorium. The LGBT Resource Center and the Television-Radio-Film Department of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications will co-sponsor the event.
Actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson is best known for his role on ABC’s Emmy award-winning comedy series Modern Family. As Mitchell Pritchett, Ferguson has earned nominations for three consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Previously, he played the role of Richie Velch in the CBS sitcom The Class. Ferguson has also appeared in Broadway and off-Broadway shows, including the Tony Award-winning The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, in which he originated the role of Leaf Coneybear.
Ferguson will speak at Goldstein Auditorium in the Schine Student Center on Oct. 23 at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7:15 p.m.
Ticket sales are open to all SU and SUNY-ESF students, staff and faculty for $5. Up to four tickets can be purchased per person.
Tickets go one sale Monday, September 17 at 11 a.m. and can be purchased at the Schine Student Center Box Office: (315) 443-4517.
