Dum Dum Girls, Math The Band to please Syracuse indie fans

Los Angeles garage rockers and New England punk rockers will come to The Schine Underground on Oct. 11 with support from Dumb Talk.

Student-run radio station WERW are bringing their second wave of bands in this semester. After a successful show at Badlands, they're ready to bring rock back to the Schine Underground with Dum Dum Girls, Math The Band, and Dumb Talk.

Dum Dum Girls are a fresh faced, all girl, garage rock band from Los Angeles, Calif. Their newest EP, End of Daze, will be released on Sept. 25, just in time for Syracuse fans to learn the songs and sing along at the show on the Oct. 11. After Pitchfork awarded their single "Lord Knows" best new track this year, Dum Dum Girls career has been on the steady rise.

Direct support for Dum Dum Girls are Math The Band, bringing an eclectic blend of electro-rock to the bill. Having toured with everyone from Matt & Kim to Andrew W.K., Math The Band knows how to work any type of crowd. They recently released a "pay what you want" EP on Bandcamp, titled Best Swishes! Thanks a Dunks!.

Recently signed to Miscreant Records, a label formed at Syracuse University last year, Dumb Talk round out the lineup with their blend of dream-pop.

With three different blends of indie rock on the bill, any fan of the genre will find their own place at this show, which begins the official WERW Concert Series for this year.
